PU sand mold, also known as polyurethane sand mold, is a type of mold used in foundry applications to produce metal castings. It is made of polyurethane, a durable and flexible material that can withstand the high temperatures and pressures of the casting process.The PU sand mold is created by mixing a two-part polyurethane system and pouring it into a pattern that has been made from wood, metal or plastic. The pattern is then removed, leaving behind a negative impression of the desired part. The mold is then baked to cure the polyurethane and to remove any moisture or volatiles.
